So after almost a year of trying, Michael and I found out we were pregnant. Figuring out how to tell my family was a HUGE ordeal but it all worked out just fine. We had our second ultrasound at 12 weeks (the first was at 7 weeks but we wanted to be sure before we told anyone) and decided to take that next day, Friday, August 31st, off of work to meet with our families for lunch to share the good news. We told Dad and Lisa to meet us for lunch at Ruby Tuesdays in Murfreesboro and then told my mom to be there as well. Mom arrived first and was very curious as to why we needed such a large table. Michael and I were both so nervous for some reason, but we had prepared shirts and onesies to give to the family while telling them about the baby. After a quick run to Wal-Mart that morning, we had taken paint pens and markers and drawn things like "Mimi loves me" and "Uncle Michael" on them. When my mom and dad saw each other they still didn't figure it out, but for the life of them couldn't see why they needed to eat lunch together. ;) We just told them we were never in town so we wanted to see everyone. Ha. I still laugh thinking about it! Then after telling everyone (I'll try to post the video) we drove over to Matt's girlfriend's salon to tell her. She at this time was already 4 months pregnant with my nephew Tobin. Danielle and her family couldn't be there but we sent a onesie with Lisa to give her.
